At the British Embassy Bangkok, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and Biosci (Thailand) Co., Ltd (a VSNi subsidiary), signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the use of the Breeding Management System (BMS) in plant breeding in the ASEAN region. In collaboration with a range of partners, the BMS has been developed to assist with information technology for agriculture.
Mr. Richard Porter, Director of International Trade at the British Embassy of Thailand welcomed the guests to the signing ceremony.
The memorandum was signed by Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul, Executive Vice President of NSTDA, and Mr. Stewart John Andrews, Director of Biosci (Thailand) Co., Ltd and CEO of VSNi. The signing was witnessed by Dr. Somvong Tragoonrung, Executive Director of BIOTEC and Dr.Donghui Ma, Chief Executive Officer of Biosci (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
We believe this memorandum of understanding will achieve its commercial mission and be a role model for the commercialization of intellectual property developed in Thailand under the Thailand 4.0 Strategy to transform conventional farming into Smart Farming.
